Money laundering is a serious criminal offence, which has recently become inextricably linked to terrorist activities. In line with the terms set forth at international level for the prevention of money laundering, Stanleybet will undertake all procedures necessary to identify any attempts to launder money, promptly informing the appropriate authorities.

For this purpose, Stanleybet introduced a series of procedures compliant with the PREVENTION OF MONEY LAUNDERING AND FUNDING OF TERRORISM REGULATIONS of 12 August 2003 (and later amendment no. 42 of 2006), in an attempt to minimise any inconvenience for customers.

PROCEDURES

REGISTRATION OF THE GAMING ACCOUNT

When registering, a series of personal information which identifies the customer must be provided. Under no circumstances can a gaming account be opened anonymously. The minimum information required is as follows:

• Name
• Address (including country of residence)
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Mobile telephone number
• E-mail address

However, management reserve the right to request additional information (copy of an identity document, utility bill etc.) at a later stage if considered necessary.
Only one gaming account is allowed per customer.

Stanleybet maintains a collaborative relationship exclusively with organisations that have well-defined anti-fraud and anti-money laundering policies. Only one credit (or debit) card can be registered per customer, and the details of the registered card can only be changed by contacting the Customer Service.
If deemed necessary, management reserve the right to ask the gaming account holder for proof of ownership of the registered card (e.g.: copy of an identity card, a bank statement).

WITHDRAWALS

The default withdrawal method as per the system is the same one used to make a deposit: customers can change the withdrawal method by simply accessing the appropriate section in their gaming account. However, management reserve right to establish the most appropriate payment method for sending funds to its customers. Management also reserve the right to ask customers for proof of identity (see previous paragraph) prior to processing the payment.

Customers are strictly prohibited from withdrawing through their affiliates after having immediately made a deposit in their account, unless the deposit itself originates from the affiliate. This also applies to those circumstances where minimum bets are placed between the deposit and the withdrawal. Withdrawals through affiliates are only allowed when the customer is withdrawing winnings from their Stanleybet account, or when the deposit originated from the said affiliate.

REPORTING

Stanleybet is obliged to report any suspicious transactions to the Malta Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit, via the Lotteries and Gaming Authority. In the event of suspected illegal activity, the customer’s account will be immediately suspended until any investigation is concluded.
